Ghanaian rising star, actor Abraham Attah who starred in Beasts of No Nation last year is set to join the cast of upcoming movie Spider-Man: Homecoming, according to reports.
The teenager, has had a meteoric rise will feature in the highly-anticipated movie, which is reportedly set to hit the cinemas mid 2017.
Prior to landing the role in the award-winning film, Beasts of No Nation Attah had no acting experience at all.
The 14 year-old, who acted alongside Hollywood star Idris Elba in Beasts of No Nation will join a list of talented artists in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” but his role in the film is yet to be revealed.
Production is expected to begin later this year, but the plot and production details are yet to be announced.
The film is reportedly going to be directed by Jon Watts from a script written by John Francis Daley, Steve Ditko and Jonathan Goldstein.
The cast includes Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Michael Keaton as a mystery villain (thought to be the Vulture), amongst others.
In Beasts of No Nation, Attah played Agu, a child soldier and the young artist was nominated for numerous accolades for his role in the award winning film. The 14 year-old won several awards for his role including the National Board of Review Award for Best Breakthrough Performance and the Best Leading Actor award at the Independent Spirit Awards.
